A three week intensive course that will take students through an education of professional editorial styling. Editorial styling can be distinguished very clearly from any kind of personal styling as it is, essentially, the interpretation of the stylist’s vision, brought to life through the medium’s chosen and the direction followed.

The students will be introduced to styling. From inception and its journey through time and will be taught how to identify influences from different times in history. The class will also be taught how to create these references in their own personal work.

They will be taught how to interpret a client’s brief, how to work with fashion models, photographers and the proper way to deal with designers’ teams. They will also learn how to handle garments loaned to them.

The course will cover learning how to convey artistic ideas through styling without loosing the audience that is being targeted. Another area that will be taught will be runway styling and learning to work in the high pressure world that accompanies the same.

At the culmination of the course, the students will create a story board for a photo shoot, style models appointed to them and stage an actual fashion shoot.
